About Rosetta

Producer Camilla Bray set up Rosetta in 2015 with the aim of developing a slate of projects with new and established filmmakers. The company was founded with enterprise investment funding and a British Film Institute Vision Award, and is supported by an experienced network of creative and business executives.

The company’s first film, ‘Beats’, was directed by Brian Welsh and executive produced by Steven Soderbergh.  In 2019 it premiered at Rotterdam IFF with Wild Bunch and Altitude co-selling, and was released through Altitude in the UK. Awards for the film include 5 BIFA nominations, winning Best Cinematography and Best Sound, a Scottish BAFTA nomination for Best Director and Win for Best Actor, and a Writer’s Guild nomination for Best Screenplay.

The company’s second film was the debut feature of award winning short film maker Fyzal Boulifa, ‘Lynn + Lucy’.  In 2019 it premiered in San Sebastian and the London Film Festival.  Awards include two BIFA nominations for Best Debut Director and Best Debut Actress; Best Director and Best Actress at Macao IFF, and Best Actress Awards at Marrakesh and Les Arcs Film Festivals. Sales are handled by Charades, and is released in the UK through BFI distribution.

Before setting up Rosetta, producer Camilla Bray was based at Sixteen Films, working first on the Ken Loach films, and then producing ‘Oranges and Sunshine’ and ‘Summer’ for the company.  Prior to Sixteen she worked across various sectors of the film industry including finance, development, production and distribution.  She is a graduate of the National Film and Television School and Inside Pictures, and is represented by Independent Talent Group.
